I’ve heard of ways to turn them into almost an unofficial branch of the military, but not sure that would work if our main threat is outside. Just because they don't need food to survive doesn’t mean that they can’t be thrown a few prisoners every now and again… With a full iron-clad military you could (with care) probably just murder them fairly safely and free up that part of the fortress, or they could be put to work somehow. Presumably we’ll continue to get migrant waves forever, if we don’t hit 0? They’re essentially immortal at the moment as they don't need food or water to survive. A stairway will be on the edge of each area.ģ) Dig the path to the river, stopping one tile short.Ĥ) Channel one tile to make a vertical hole, starting from the top.ĥ) Install flood gates, bars, grates, mechanisms, etc.Ħ) Wall off the stairways, leaving a 3x3 gap with the hole in the middle. I know trial and error is part of the fun, but loading times are annoying, so I would appreciate it if someone could give this a once over.ġ) Dig the drain to the edge of the map, smooth the wall, carve a fortification.Ģ) Dig a 3x5 area on each level above the drain, stopping one level below the surface. I'm pretty sure this plan will work, but a light aquifer may complicate things. Now it's time for the big project: creating an internal waterfall. Having some issues where the "best" worker isn't always being used for a job, but I figure that'll work out once the first migrant wave hits. Then my second, when I realized that battle axes were necessary to cut down trees. ![]()
