![]() ![]() Example would when you’re satisfied with the models topology and you have no intention of reversing or increasing resolution, you can rid unwanted resolutions. Finally, delete higher/lower is just to terminate a resolution in the multires hierarchy dependant if its an increment up or down. Flat Subdivisions - bit harder to explain without visuals, basically this hold the objects current shape after its been subdivided - example, if you reduce a sphere to only several faces, it will be pointy - regular subdivision will then add more and smooth it out, whereas flat subdivisions will keep the pointy shape and build polygons to maintain this particular shape. Keep triangles, is for polygons - 2 triangles = 1 quad (face/polygon) - keeping triangles means it’ll keep triangular poly’s in the mesh instead of just quads - this is for several reasons usually for memory and lower resolution purposes. In Sculpt mode, you can edit the mesh geometry with simple brush strokes. Reverse is there for mesh objects already with a set topology and you want to enable multiresolution from a lower starting point (otherwise subdivision will just enhance it further). Sculptris operates in two distinct modes: Sculpt and Paint. With Multires, Subdivisions are what enhance the model’s resolution (the wireframe) in incremental steps, hitting subdivide increases resolution - and begins building up the multiresolution hierarchy, the more you subdivide, the more detail. Blender has an excellent Sculpting Mode that works very similar to Sculptris and ZBrush In this weekly series. Thank you again to those who post to this forum. I’m very interested in eventually getting something printed. My goal is to keep at it until I get used to the interface and technical aspects. But all in all I’m happy as a first attempt and plan to start over from scratch and build it again because I’m pleased with the character. I messed up proportions pretty badly…arms and legs dimensions don’t match their counterparts. But reading posts here has been helpful, so thank you all for that. This Bigfoot fellow wound up with over 2 million polygons. It was definitely a learning experience-I totally did not understand polygons and bounced from voxel remesh to dyntopo so often i had to keep redoing the details every time. When I came across this on my Ipad I couldn’t resist. Years ago I played with sculptris but was distracted by other art projects. ![]()

A lot of trends are customized based on your own interests and online activity. Just be careful not to put yourself into too much of an echo chamber, or you’ll miss out on a lot of news. The front page of Reddit and trending hashtags are an easy way to see the most important things going on in the world. Social media makes it easy to see current trends. Provide Information on the Latest Trends: Businesses that would never have had the budget for TV and billboards can promote themselves as easily as large brands. This has leveled the playing field in many ways never seen before. Cheap inventory and robust ad targeting let you hit your customers easily. One of the most cost-effective ways to advertise small businesses is on platforms like Facebook. Platforms like Pinterest let you share the art you’re selling, and Etsy is an excellent eCommerce solution for small vendors. You can organically connect with your customers on Twitter and Facebook. Restaurants can upload their menu and phone number to sites like Yelp. Promotes Your Business:īusinesses have benefited greatly from social media. Knowledge sharing on social media has a flip side that we’ll discuss later. The key is that everyone does their best to make sure we’re only sharing accurate information. In school, teachers can use programs like Google classrooms and Zoom to host lively discussions and lectures. The ease with which you can share news, scientific research, and other articles make social media a great place to learn. We can also find people with similar interests using sites like Reddit and Facebook groups to spark new relationships. It allows us to connect with friends we haven’t seen in years and easily share what’s going on in our lives. ![]() To many, this is their most redeeming quality and one of the ways people can look past the bad. The main point of social media is to maintain and develop relationships. The Positive Effects of Social Media Maintain and Develop New Relationships Knowing a little bit more about it, let’s look at the positive and negative effects of social media. You wouldn’t consider Spotify a social networking site, but it does have user-profiles and the ability to share music. The definition doesn’t include all of the hybrid platforms that have some social media features. Facebook is very different than TikTok and Pinterest. Pretty vague, right? This broad definition is how we’re able to have so many social networking sites. They should also communicate with other users via chat or posts and have a way to share music, photos, links, etc. The profiles should reflect the user’s background and interests based on information they provide or people or things they follow. It has to be an online community with user-customizable profiles. What makes a social networking site? To be considered one, a platform needs a few features. TikTok is the latest craze, particularly amongst younger people. To this day, new platforms are launching and becoming polarized every year. The invention of Six Degrees ushered in a tidal wave of web 1.0 social sites like Myspace, Friendster, and LiveJournal, which pioneered the features we love on Facebook and Twitter platforms.Īs the early pioneers gave away, newer, more fleshed-out platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter replaced them. The creators designed the tool to connect universities on an early prototype of the internet.ĭecades later, technology caught up, allowing the formation of Six Degrees, which had one million members who could friend each other and create profiles. The first attempt at a social network goes as far back as 1969 when the military created ARPAN. Let’s look at its history before taking a closer look at the positive and negative effects of social media on society. Our deep dependence on social media raises an important question - are these platforms good for society? Or are they a negative influence on children as well as adults? For example, LinkedIn has become one of the main places to look for jobs. ![]() You’ll find everyone from grandparents to business tycoons to kids using social media. More feed for deer and less for varmints equals more nutrition for the deer. The area where the feed is dispersed is approximately 42 inches, which is the right height for a deer to reach easily, yet harder for the varmints below.Ī gravity-style feeder also allows deer to eat what they need without leaving the rest for varmints to consume, as typically found with feeders that spin or throw the feed onto the ground. The tripod design is farther away from the center of the bottom of the feeder, making it harder for varmints to access. The feed is evenly available for multiple deer to consume at once. The four-way, round tube design for the food distribution is another excellent feature of the Boss Buck feeders. High-quality deer feeds can be expensive when feeding for an extended period, thus being another reason that hunters must ensure that deer are consuming most of the feed. For deer to reap the benefits of high protein feeds, they must be the ones consuming all the nutrition. One of the biggest discouragements when supplementing feed for deer is when varmints invade the feed and consume it instead of the deer. Pair a large capacity feeder with a cellular camera, and hunters can monitor deer movement without visiting the feed site often. An HDPE UV-protected thick plastic allows the Boss Buck to keep feed from leaking, which keeps feed dry and fresh longer. When using the 1,200-pound Boss Buck feeder, hunters can place enough feed in the feeder to last for an extended period. The hard-to-get-to areas are ideal locations for a cellular game camera and a large capacity feeder such as the 1,200-pound Boss Buck feeder. Unfortunately, these areas can be more remote. ![]() When supplemental feeding deer to boost their nutrition, it is vital to have feed available where deer are most often found. Often, hunters put feeding stations wherever it is most convenient for them to travel to check and replenish food. When deer become accustomed to traveling to a feeding site, it is not long until the hunter must begin making frequent trips to replenish the feed. Furthermore, if it is legal in the hunter’s state, it may be used while hunting to help draw deer closer to shooting range. Putting a feeder between point A and point B so that deer change their route to grab a few bites to eat along the way eventually becomes the more desired route of travel, thus allowing the hunter to be in a better position when it is time to hunt. ![]() Feeders may be used to form new travel routes throughout the off-season, giving adequate time for deer to adjust. ![]() ![]() ![]() The advantage of this method is that you do not need to download any third-party software. How does this work? By default, every row in SQLite has a special column, usually called the rowid, that uniquely identifies that row within the table. We can take advantage of SQLite’s rowid: SELECT * FROM Pets But SQLite won’t let us update the CTE like that.įortunately, the next two options can be modified to perform a delete. In some other DBMSs (in SQL Server at least), we can replace the last SELECT * with DELETE to delete the duplicate rows from the table. If there are three identical rows, it returns two, and so on. The SQLite count function returns the count of an expression. So if there are two identical rows, it returns one of them. We can use the above query as a common table expression: WITH cte AS the numbering will start at 1 for the first row in each partition).
